FCCB Challenge #114: Don't Bug Me

Hello everyone,

Its time for a new challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week our challenge is Don't Bug Me! Make a project using some sort of bug. When I think bug I immediately think 'butterfly'  So you won't be surprised that there is a butterfly on my project.

I wanted to use my newly purchased carts Sophisticated and My Quiet Book for this challenge. The argle and circle are from Sophisticated and the butterfly is from My Quiet Book. The card base is from Elegant Edges.

When I make shape cards I usually weld my card base on my Gypsy, but this time I cut two of the same shapes, scored and glued them together at the top. So that my scallop is whole all the way around. You might remember that Holly posted a video on FCCB's Thursday Tutorial on how to make these shape cards using two die cut images. If you would like to see this tutorial again click HERE.

My card was heavily inspired by a demo card I made using Spellbinders at Michaels in May. I really liked how it turned out so I decided to do something similar with my Cricut.

What was used:
Cricut Elegant Edges Cart
Cricut My Quiet Book Cart
Cricut Sophisticated Cart
My Pink Stamper Itty Bitty-licious
Martha Stewart Vintage Girl Paper Pad
Celebrate It Ribbon
Queen and Co. Snowflake Pearls

Please visit us at FCCB and see what the fabulous DT have created and join in our challenge.
Bug hugs!

Happy Scrapping!
Judy

  6. What great cards! I've always wanted to try a Michaels demo but never have. I should if you end up making such wonderful creations! Your personally designed card is fabulous. The argyle cut is such a wonderful touch. How fun to use new cartridges, too!
