FCCB "Save The Earth" Crawl

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog "Save the Earth" Crawl. If you came here from  Jessica: Cricut After Dark then you are on the right track. If not you can start the crawl from FCCB and join in the fun after visiting all the talented ladies.

We are challenged to make a project using a recycled item. For my project I recycled an ice cream container to become a bucket for my scrapbook gear. I first covered it in paper, cut a few circles for the top and inside of the cover, cut butterflies from Wall Decor and More Cartridge and added some ribbon from my stash.

I used Martha Stewart Iridescent Glitter on the butterflies.

So how about a small giveaway for this hop. A set of rubber sentiment stamps, perfect for your   card making.

To be entered for a chance to win, leave me a comment on this post,  it would also be nice if you would become one of my followers. I will pick a winner using Random.org and announce the winner in my next FCCB post.

FCCB Challenge #108: On the Go!!

Hello everyone,

It is time for a new challenge up at at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week our theme is 'On The Go.' Make a project with car, bike, train, plane, etc.

While searching for an image to cut I came across this Corvette and thought it would be perfect on a masculine card.  I wanted the car to be the star of the card so I tried to keep the background simple.  I used some Tim Holtz ink to slightly distress the paper to give it an aged look. I added the small hand cut flags on the side of the card and copied them on the inside as well. I find masculine cards a little hard design so I am very pleased with the look of this card.

Inside

What was used:
Cricut Groovy Times Cartridge (car cut at 3 inches)
DCWV The Snapshot Stack
Recollections cardstock
Time Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Star Rub-On
Sentiment printed from my computer

I also wanted to let everyone know about our Save the Earth Cricut Crawl scheduled for next week.

FCCB Challenge #106: Button and Bows

Hello everyone,

Its Monday and there is a new challenge up at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week we are challenging you to make a project with at least one button and one bow on it.

I made a series of cards for this challenge. I was inspired the Cricut American Alphabet Cart that comes pre-installed on the E2. I just love all the images on this cart. The images are super adorable and easy to layer. I just couldn't decide which one to cut! Even the scallop behind the die cuts is a blackout of a doily on the cart.

I am also linking these cards to Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings Challenge #45: Buttons and Bow

What was used:
Cricut American Alphabet Cart
Cuttlebug Seeing Spots Embossing Folder
Marta Stewart Vintage Girl Paper Pad
Cardstock: We R Memory Keepers and Recollections
Devine Twine
Buttons from my Stash

I hope you will join us at FCCB for this week's challenge. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Happy Scrapping!

My E2 is home!

Hello everyone,

I hope this will be my last update on my E2 issues. I finally received my second replacement of my E2 but unfortunately I wasn't able to get another Anniversary Edition. I liked the little pop of green that this one doesn't have.

I still have access to the extra carts that came with the Anniversary edition on my Gypsy and in Craftroom, so I am just happy to have a machine that works! My Monday Challenge project for my FCCB DT was done with one of the carts that came preinstalled on the E2. Check back tomorrow to see it.

I also wanted to share my poster board advertising my classes at at Michaels.  The 'bloom' page is 12 X 12 inches to give you an idea of the size of the whole thing.

All the supplies were taken off the floor in the store to use. I must say it was fun to just walk through the store and use anything I needed (within reason) to make the board.

Here are a couple more 8 1/2 X 11 posters that I made for the store.

Please stop by tomorrow to check out my new project for the challenge at FCCB.

Happy Scrapping!

You've Got Cute-A-Tude!

Hello everyone,

About two months ago I decided to take a Copics class. I have been wanting to try them out for awhile and I was able to make a beginner's class at Memories Live On. I really enjoyed my class and I have been getting a marker whenever I can. In the class we were able to use a My Favorite Thing (MFT) Stamp and I just loved the little figures in the sets and I love the cute little sentiments that come along with them.

Here is my first attempt at using Copics. There are so many mistakes! I had so much trouble keeping the colors inside the line, I really need to just slow down I guess. I still like how my card came out.

Since I had done this image in class I decided to try another MFT stamp for entering into a Challenge at Celebrate the Occasion. I have been part of the DT before and I love to go over and show my support whenever I can. So here is my card done all on my own.

Isn't she the cutest thing! I just love her, she has so much attitude! I tried to copy the little flower in her hair with my Fiskars punch and I couldn't stop putting them on the card. I love how they look on the card. I will use this card for my girlfriend's daughter's birthday. I am so happy with my Copics and I am loving this new turn in my crafting.

I am entering this card in
