FCCB Challenge #104: Out Like A Lamb

Hello everyone,

Its time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. I must say first there were some beautiful cards with flowers entered into our challenge last week. I was inspired!

Our Challenge this week is 'Out Like A Lamb': make a project using a gentle animal.....lamb, kitten, puppy etc....

Here's my take on the challenge:

I searched on My Cut Search for an image of a lamb and found a few, but I just loved this image of Mary and her little lamb. I also wanted to try a different shape for the card base and came up with the base in the picture. I think I will try it again with different shapes.

What was used:
Cricut Craftroom
Cricut Elegant Edges (base cut at 8X6 inches then folded in half and scallop cut at 4 3/4 inches)
Cricut Nursery Rhymes (Mary had a little lamb cut at 3 inches)
Hero Arts Thinking of You stamps
Celebrate It Ribbon
Cardstock: Bazzill, We R Memory Keepers
K&Company WB Gypsy Baby Paper Pad
Heidi Grace Designs Sweet and Whimsical Paper pad
Ink for stamping and edges
Pop-dots

I have linked this card to Patch Of Pink Spring Link-up.

Please visit FCCB and see the gorgeous DT projects, then link up your own work to wow us.

Happy Scrapping!

My New Machine

Hello Again,

I wanted to share my latest Cricut buy with you all. I wondered into Michael's on Black Friday to find three E2 Anniversary Edition. I didn't even think they were available anymore. Well I bought one and gave it a nice home.

Notice: my Gypsy is matching the Anniversary Edition

Unfortunately, I have to send it back because its not working properly. It has been cutting my intricate pieces and not working like my other Cricut machines work and not speaking nicely to my Gypsy too!

I do have to say that I LOVE LOVE the gals who work for the Cricut Service department! The Cricut customer service is really wonderful and helpful!

So I have to send my green Anniversary edition back, but I the get the regular grey E2 back. Of course there is the problem of access to my extra two carts that the Anniversary Edition comes with that I won't have access to on the new machine. I was assured that there will be an update to Craftroom so that I will be able to access them, but I would really like to  access all four carts on my Gypsy because I do all my designing on it and not sure how much I will like using Craftroom. The Gypsy is just so much more portable that a laptop and I do use multiple carts on a lot of my projects and would love to incorporate them too.

I will keep you updated and share pictures of my new E2 when it arrives. I wish I didn't have to deal with this problem, but at least I know the Cricut customer service is really helpful.

The carts used for the cuts above are:
Nursery Rhymes, MS Elegant Cakes Art, Calligraphy Collection,

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday (August 2011)

Hello everyone,

The monthly blog hop at My Pink Stamper is back on with her new DT. I love participating in her hops and this month she will even have a drawing for a Cricut cart and one of her stamp sets.

Her Challenge this month is for you to show off your style. This one was a little hard for me my style is always to try something different. I do love blue as well so I thought I would incorporate that into the project. I love the Nursery Rhymes and A Child's Years carts so I thought I'd use a cut from one of those. I also love the versatility of the Elegant Edges cart especially if you have a Gypsy so I used that too. I do love nice clean lines though, I am not too good with grunge or vintage styles.

I also used My Pink Stamper Everyday Life Stamp set which I received as a gift from Robyn for my Honorable Mention (for that post click here). Thanks so much Robyn.

What was used:
Cricut Nursery Rhymes (Pat-A-Cake cut at 2.5 inches)
Cricut Elegant Edges (Card base (with Gypsy) and topper at 4.25 inches)
My Pink Stamper Everyday Life Stamp set
DCWV Cotton Bloom Stack
American Craft Specialty Ribbon: Haute
Imaginisce I-Rock Hot Gems
Black Ink and Embossing powder

I have visited the stops on the hop and there are some really cute projects out there. Thanks for popping by.

Happy Scrapping!

Think Spring Card and Something to share

Hello everyone,

This week theme is April Showers on few challenge blogs that I love to visit. I used my Gypsy to hide parts of the images I choose and also for welding other images together. After I separated the cut I thought the negative was just too cute to get rid of so I used it for another card. I am not sure which card I like most.

I am submitting these cards for these challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog Challenge Me Monday #54 - April Showers (anything with an umbrella)
My Sheri Crafts Challenge #51 - April Showers
Get Inspired With ChatterScene  - April Showers

What was used:
Cricut Nursery Rhymes Cart (Child with umbrella cut at 3.75 inches)
Cricut Create a Critter (Puddle cut at 1.2 inches)
Cricut Disney Princesses Dreams Come True (Splash welded to the puddle, cut at 1 inch)
DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy Stack
DCWV Bella Cafe stack
Recollection Cardstock
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Divine Swirls Embossing folders
American Crafts ribbon
 Button from my stash
Stamp from Michael's $1 bin
Ink

Something To Share:
I found out that one of the high school student volunteers, who help out in my son's preschool class makes cards. I went into my stash and found her some supplies to play with. She made me this cute card to say thanks for the stuff.  Thought I would share it with you all. Isn't it cute! She hand cut every little detail on the card, I hope you can give her some encouragement. I hope she will continue to make cards. Well done Megan!
