FCCB Challenge #130: Birthday Celebration

Hello everyone,

Its time for a new challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is Birthday Celebration. Our challenge to you is to make a birthday project using a candle.

This past Saturday we had a double party for my daughter and son. I decided to make banners for their party. My kids were given Finnish names so its hard to find anything with their names in the US, so I made them pennant banners with their names.

What was used:
Cricut Pretty Pennants
Cricut American Alphabet
Cricut Boys Will Be Boys
Cricut Birthday Bash
Cricut Doodlecharms
Recollection Cardstock
DCWV Shimmer cardstock

Bead Landing Jute Cording

I hope you will have a chance to visit us over at FCCB and see the projects our DT have made to share with you. Please join in and link your projects with us.I can't wait to see what you have made.

CTO Challenge #77: Child's Birthday

Hello everyone,

If you are looking for FCCB Back to School Crawl click HERE.

Its Tuesday and time for a new challenge at Celebrate the Occasion. This week our challenge theme is Child's Birthday. Make a project for a child's birthday.

This theme would be perfect opportunity to make a card for my son, because today is his 5th Birthday. When I was choosing my image from our sponsor Digi Doodle I was not thinking so far ahead. So I have two cards to share with you today.

My first I used a Little Momma from Digi Doodle. She is just so adorable! I colored in with my Copics and paper pieced her dress and shoes.

I am still practicing with my Copics and I am not as comfortable with using them as I would like. I keep going outside the lines. I covered her shoes in diamond Stickles, they look like those cute glitter shoes for little girls.

Visit Digi Doodles and check out their really awesome images.

My second card is for my son. He has always loved trains so I used Boys Will Be Boys Cart to cut this card. I was inspired by my fellow DT member Esther of For The Joy Of Creating to make a tent topper card form him.

Here is picture of my sweetie on his first day of Kindergarten last Monday. I can't believe he is 5 years old today!

I hope you will get a chance to visit CTO and join in our challenge this week!

Happy Scrapping!

Truck and iPhone Birthday Card

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year! I have neglected my blog for a few weeks but now I am back with a new project. I must say I miss my DT positions as it meant that I would always have a project up on my blog. I am gonna try to load a project or two every week.

This week I am taking part in Celebrate the Occasion's weekly challenge. Their theme is Child's Birthday and I came up with a cute card for a boy. I bought the Boys Will Be Boys cart and I really wanted to use a cut from it. After assembling the card I noticed I missed inking my blue strip of paper, maybe on the next on I will remember.

Nuts About Sketches Birthday Celebrations: Sketch 7

Hello everyone,

This is the final sketch of the Nuts About Sketches Birthday celebrations. I had so much fun producing the pages and I got so much done in such a short space of time its is unbelievable!

For Sketch 7, I used pictures of my son having his first hair cut. This is what is written in the journaling:
We weren't exactly ready to give you a hair cut, but when daddy asked, "Why is Aleksi loosing his hair? I knew something was wrong! Aliisa had taken her play scissors and started cutting your hair. Chunks of your beautiful curls were just lying all over the floor. We had to cut it to make it even. Daddy was the happiest, he got out his sheer and got rid of all of it. You still looked cute, but mommy was not too happy because her little baby looked so much like a little man!

What was used:
Cricut  Boys Will Be Boys (Title and shadow 1.50 inches)
Cricut Disney Happily Ever After (Scissors 1.1 and 1.75 inches)
Cuttlebug Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Recollection Basics Red paper (Dots, Small dots and Stripes)
Recollection Black Cardstock
DCWV Textured Cardstock
Red Ink

You have until May 15 at midnight (14th going the 15th) to complete any of these sketches. You will get one entry for every layout you complete. The winner will be picked randomly and will be announced on Monday's regular post. Here is reminder of the Scrapbook Kit that can be won.

Happy scrapping!
