FCCB Challenge #134: Boo Spectacular

Hello everyone,

Its time for another challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week we are challenging you to make a Halloween project using the colors orange and black.

I had some fun with this challenge and I couldn't resist using my Happy Haunting Cart. I also had some fun with my Martha Stewart Spiderweb Punch Around the Page set to create the card base. I started the base two 5 inch square black cardstock. I really love the effect and I will be trying this again with some of my other punch sets.

What was used:
Cricut Happy Hauntings
Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up
Martha Stewart Spiderweb Punch Around the Page Set
Pattered Paper from stash
Recollections Cardstock
Recollection Little Monsters Stamp set
White and Black pens

I hope you will have a chance to see the projects the DT have submitted for this challenge over at FCCB. Please cut your favorite Halloween image from your Cricut and join in with us too.

Happy Scrapping!

Celebrate The Occasion Challenge #36: Fall Theme

Hello Everyone,

My family and I have now moved into temporary housing in California. I am missing my old home and my friends terribly, but I am loving this CA warmth. We won't get our household stuff (and my scrapbook stuff ) until mid November. I am having weird withdrawal symptoms, but I am really excited because the home we will eventually move into will be walking distance to JoAnn's!

This project I made a few weeks ago for our weekly challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion. Our theme this week is Fall! I made my first shaker card for this challenge. The idea is you are inside looking out of a window with a oak tree outside and the leaves blowing about.

I used my Gypsy to make the base of the card and used strips of pop-dots to keep the layers apart so that the little leaves can move around when you shake the card.

Inside

I found the cutest little poem on line that I printed and put on the inside of the card. I found it here.

Falling Leaves
Little leaves fall softly down
Red and yellow, orange and brown
Whirling, twirling round and round
Falling softly to the ground

Little leaves fall softly down
To make a carpet on the ground.
Then, swish, the wind comes whistling by
And sends them dancing to the sky.

What was used:
Cricut Gypsy
Cricut Christmas Solutions (Window)
Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls (Leaves)
Cricut Paper Dolls Dress Up (Tree)
Transparency
Recollections Basics Light Blue Paper
Cardstock: Recollections, The Paper Company

Please join us at CTO, see what the DT projects and wow us with your brilliance.

Happy Scrapping!

I am a part of Celebrate the Occasion's New Design Team!

Hello everyone,

I am so happy to finally share with you that I was chosen to be a part of the new design team over at Celebrate the Occasion.  I submitted a project on the final day and I really was not sure it was good enough for the team, but I was chosen. I have seen the work of the ladies on the  previous DT and I wasn't sure mine work measured up.  I am so happy and excited to be a part of the team!

To apply for the DT position, I had to make a newly created project, never posted, with a birthday theme. Here is the card I submitted.

Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up (Ballerina cut at 3.75 inches)
Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face (PK-490)
DCWV Glitter Cardstock
DCWV Nana's Kitchen Stack
Pink swirl paper I've had in my stack for years!
Martha Stewart Ribbon
Greeting Stamp
Bling

We will have weekly challenges, so please join me and the rest of the DT on the Celebrate the Occasion blog. Remember there are monthly drawings for some amazing prizes. Please come and join us!

Happy Scrapping!

Horse and Fence Card

Hi everyone,

The daughter of on of my girlfriend is so in love with horses, so I made her a card with a horse in her favorite color. I was so happy to see that Bitten by the Bug 2 had a Fence Challenge.  I thought I would use the card for that too.

I also made smaller pink and purple horses for her cake; made me wish I had the Cricut Cake, but then I know I wouldn't use it much. I was quite lucky to get the colors perfectly with the rest of the cake, because I didn't see it before cutting the horses.

What was used:
Cricut My World for the horses
Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up for the gate
Cricut Create a Critter for the grass
The patterned paper is from Heidi Grace Designs
Bazzill Cardstock for the horse

Happy Scrapping
