FCCB Challenge #104: Out Like A Lamb

Hello everyone,

Its time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. I must say first there were some beautiful cards with flowers entered into our challenge last week. I was inspired!

Our Challenge this week is 'Out Like A Lamb': make a project using a gentle animal.....lamb, kitten, puppy etc....

Here's my take on the challenge:

I searched on My Cut Search for an image of a lamb and found a few, but I just loved this image of Mary and her little lamb. I also wanted to try a different shape for the card base and came up with the base in the picture. I think I will try it again with different shapes.

What was used:
Cricut Craftroom
Cricut Elegant Edges (base cut at 8X6 inches then folded in half and scallop cut at 4 3/4 inches)
Cricut Nursery Rhymes (Mary had a little lamb cut at 3 inches)
Hero Arts Thinking of You stamps
Celebrate It Ribbon
Cardstock: Bazzill, We R Memory Keepers
K&Company WB Gypsy Baby Paper Pad
Heidi Grace Designs Sweet and Whimsical Paper pad
Ink for stamping and edges
Pop-dots

I have linked this card to Patch Of Pink Spring Link-up.

Please visit FCCB and see the gorgeous DT projects, then link up your own work to wow us.

Happy Scrapping!

Gypsy-Less and New Machine Updates

Hello everyone,

I am just wanted to let you know what has been going on with my Provocraft machines.

First the Gypsy: After a few calls to Cricut about my USB breaking off and rattling around inside they decided to replace my machine. How excited am I? The thing was way out of warranty and they told me they wouldn't replace a few times before. Well I am over the moon!!
Here is my Gyspy being updated.

It took four hours to update it and I didn't even update the Imagine stuff. Then I had to link all my carts back to it.

The E2: So I returned my first Expression 2 Anniversary Edition after it was not cutting properly. I was so excited they sent me another Anniversary Edition to replace it. I opened it up, set it up and started cutting. My luck the blade was dragging over the image and cutting it up! So now I have to send it back again. I was warned that I will not get another Anniversary Edition this time. So here is my second E2 ready to be boxed up. Luckily I still have my original Expression to use.

The wait begins, again.

Happy Scrapping!

FCCB Challenge # 103: Spring is in the Air

Hello everyone,

If this is your first time to my blog welcome and welcome back to my regular followers. Its time for another Challenge Me Monday challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog! This week our challenge is Spring is in the Air: make a project using at least three flowers. As usual you can use any products you want as long as there is a Cricut cut somewhere on your project.

I have been noticing the gorgeous spring blooms around in California and I am just loving the spring colors. The flowers I made on my card were based on a patch of daisies I saw on my walk with my kids.

The large flower is made up of 3 layers of 'daisy1' cut at 1.8 inches, 2 layers of 'daisy1' cut at 1.2 inches and one layer of 'snflowr-s' cut at 0.5 inch and small circle cut at 0.3 inches all real dial size (RDS) in Craftroom.
The smaller flowers has no large daisies and 3 small daisies.

What was used:
Cricut Walk In My Garden
Cricut Craftroom
DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack
Recollections Cardstock
Spritz 1 1/2 inch Shear Ribbon
Colorbox Wisteria Chalk ink
Lavender Stickles
$1 Sentiment Stamp

On to the winner of the Fiskars Stamp set and ink.

FCCB Challenge # 102: In Like A Lion

Hello everyone,

This is my first post as a member of the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog (FCCB) Design Team. This week's Challenge Me Monday (#102) is In Like A Lion. Make a project with any sort of cat, tiger, lion, etc. on it.

I used Kate's ABCs cart for my project. I really love this cart and there are a few images with cats so I couldn't resist using it.
I trimmed the grass piece off from the tail and cut a second butterfly. Then added smaller butterflies using Marta Stewart pop-up butterfly punch then 'stickled' them.

Sentiment close up. Doesn't it work perfectly!

My Pink Stamper's Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge (March 2012)

Hello everyone,

I have noticed a few new followers on my blog and I would love to welcome you. I hope I can keep you coming back.

Last night was the 2nd Friday of the month and My Pink Stamper, Robyn has a new blog hop with her pink designers and a challenge on her blog. Her theme for the challenge this month is  St. Patrick's Day! Think Green!

Here is a simple card I made for the challenge. I cut strips of colored paper to create the rainbow across the front of the card and cut a simple shamrock, embellished with some colored bling and used one of Robyn's stamp set.

I am also linking this card to the following challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog #101: Luck of the Irish

What was used?
Cricut Designer Calendar
My Pink Stamper Everyday Life Stamp set
Recollections Cardstock
Various Colored Bling
Green Ink for stamp

Hope you enjoy my quick card. You can also visit Robyn's hop and see the really creative ways her DT have interpreted her challenge.

Happy Scrapping!
