FCCB Challenge #123: Jump In and Cool Off

Hello Everyone,

Its Monday so there is another challenge up at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog! This week I am very excited to be showcasing products from our sponsor Canvas Corp.

This week our Challenge is Jump In and Cool Off! We challenge you to make a project with a water theme (pool, beach, water park, etc.). To make my project I had a choice of the Beach Collection or the Nautical Collection. I chose the Nautical Collection to work with. Here is a look at the papers and other goodies I had to play with.

I received 24 sheets of this gorgeous paper, cork sheet, kraft cards and envelopes, mini canvas flags and hemp rope.

Box opened

I decided to make a card box set for my project with a Nautical Theme. I was really inspired by the anchors on the paper. I cut my sailboat and the shape card from Just a Note cartridge and the anchors and ship's wheel from Life is a Beach cartridge. I used some of the Canvas Corp paper in my E2 and it cuts beautifully.

I started with a wooden craft box for and painted the inside of the box with a beige paint then covered the outside with the Anchors and Red dots papers. I also added a little anchor to the envelop to coordinate with the box set.

 Shape Card

 Shape card opened

Set of 5 cards and envelopes included in the box set

The flags were lightly inked

Opened box, the edges were also inked. I copied the design of the cards in the box so that the recipient of the set will have a reminder of the cards after sending them out.

What was used:
Canvas Corp Nautical Paper Collection
Canvas Corp Canvas Minis
Canvas Corp Hemp cord
Canvas Corp 5 X 7 Kraft Cards and Envelopes
Cricut Just a Note
Cricut Life is a Beach
Art Minds Craft Box
Other plain card stock
EK Success Scalloped Scallop Edge Punch

Apple Barrel Beige Craft Paint

FCCB "Save The Earth" Crawl

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog "Save the Earth" Crawl. If you came here from  Jessica: Cricut After Dark then you are on the right track. If not you can start the crawl from FCCB and join in the fun after visiting all the talented ladies.

We are challenged to make a project using a recycled item. For my project I recycled an ice cream container to become a bucket for my scrapbook gear. I first covered it in paper, cut a few circles for the top and inside of the cover, cut butterflies from Wall Decor and More Cartridge and added some ribbon from my stash.

I used Martha Stewart Iridescent Glitter on the butterflies.

So how about a small giveaway for this hop. A set of rubber sentiment stamps, perfect for your   card making.

To be entered for a chance to win, leave me a comment on this post,  it would also be nice if you would become one of my followers. I will pick a winner using Random.org and announce the winner in my next FCCB post.

Bling Box

My friend was moving and getting rid of a few of her things. I saw this box where she was storing old receipts and bills, she was about to get rid of it. It was sturdy, but  little banged up. I knew that those little drawers would be perfect for storing my bling! So I got my paper and gear out to alter this most wonderful box to store all my precious gems!

I had to carefully remove the drawer handles before wrapping them, then I attached the handles back to the box with gemstone brads and Zip Dry glue to make sure they were secure.

The words were done with Gypsy font and welded together then cut on chipboard and then on to DCWV glitter paper, inked and blinged! The patterned papers are a mix of DCWV Nana's Kids sheets and K & Company Amy Butler Belle sheets. The ribbon I had in my stash and the flowers are from Petaloo Daisy Box Blends, I so love their flowers!

Disney Princess Card and Trinket Box

I made this card for my daughter who turned 5 years old today!  My orders were "Mommy, I want  card with three princess on it!'
I used Happily Ever After Cart and my gypsy for this project. The card is the largest I’ve ever made measuring 7.5 x 6 inches when closed. The box is a round wodden box I bought from AC Moore. All the princesses were cut at 3.5 inches. Any smaller and it would be even harder to piece together. I used ALOT of Stickles on this project!
